So, my guess is almost everyone has started back to school by now, its crazy right? The summer just flew by. Well first things first. I would like to say have a great school year y'all.

Ok, second, lets hear what books you guys are reading, I'm very curious:)

Third, who would like to have a contest? Just note me or comment

Fourth, who would like to be a co-founder or a contributor? I need to get some new more active ones (hint hint) I love the ones I have now, but I can't run this group by myself. I need a co-founder who will go through dA and look up some awesome writing peaces and help me keep this group running along. So please please be responsible, cause well, to put it simple I will almost be your boss. But don't worry it's nothing extremely major you guys have to do.

And fifth, it's September, two months and NaNoWriMo starts.

I'm reminding you now so you can get a headstart and start brainstorming on ideas. Plus some of you have probably never heard of it, so here is
www.nanowrimo.org/en/participa… This is the link to my page on NaNoWriMo, so please, feel free to add me to your writing buddies.
And for those of you who don't know...
NaNoWriMo is a non profit website that stands for National Novel Writing Month, the goal my friends is to write 50,000 words in a month and only a month. I tell you this because I found last year, it was a great exercise for me. I didn't finish it due to medical issues but I'm going to try again this year. I really think it's fun and a great way to break that writers block. So check out the webpage and decide if you wanna participate this year. Ok more on that in October.

Well loves, that's all. Have a great week. And I do believe, Homecoming is just around the corner. I'll try to update before then. Maybe we'll have a best dress contest lol.

I'm working on synesthesia for my English Independent Project.

I am unable to access the scientific books (especially Wednesday is Indigo Blue: Understanding the Brain of Synesthesia by Richard E. Cytowic and David Eagleman, with an afterword by Dmitri Nabokov) and have resorted to using journals, essays and presentations to compile my solid research. I am now reading Vladimir Nabokov's The Gift, and waiting for his memoir Speak, Memory to be emerge from reservation.

Next on my booklist is the only other available fiction work on synesthesia: A Mango Shaped Space by Wendy Mass. Otherwise, I am lurking around on dA groups...

The universe seems to be out to make me read. The school reading group that I'm in charge of is on this Asian literature kick, so I've got a whole bunch of Indian children's books to get through (The Conch Bearer by Chitra Banerkee Divakaruni is really cute for 11-12yo, and Climbing the Stairs by Padma Venkatraman was really interesting in its Indian WWII setting),

I'm working with second person perspective for my english class independent project and hence have been trawling dA (I want to read Bright Lights, Big City by Jay McInerney, and Complicity by Iain Banks. My english teacher gave me a couple of short story compilations trying to help, but she's got no idea what I'm looking for and now I have two more unnecessary books to read - the Asia Literary Review Winter 2007 and True Blue: On Being Australian),

plus two other personal projects I've started (The Phantom of the Opera and rereading Cherub: The Recruit by Robert Muchamore) and a last book that I've been really wanting to read, but don't think I'll have time for (The Selection by Kiera Cass. One of two teen-girl books I've been surprisingly absorbed by recently. The other was Fractured by

and then there's MY book, with my 3000-words-AKA-one-chapter-per-fortnight quota. I really would like to participate in the competition (it sounds like exactly the motivation I need to really get going!), but stuff's happening right now, in and out of school. I just don't think I'll have time to sit and write.

I wish you the best of luck, though!

Also, is your request for contributors urgent? I could probably help out next month if you need me to?

It's not urgent, you can get to me whenever, I would love to have a new contributor. Trust me, I get what you mean by busy.

And wow, you really are busy, I don't know how I could balance all of that, best of luck to you and hey, maybe by November you won't be so busy, you'll just have to wait and see:)
